As part of efforts to strengthen the digital ecosystem and support cybersecurity in Mauritania, His Excellency the Minister of Digital Transformation and Administrative Modernization, Mr. Ahmed Salem Beda Echevag, welcomed, in the presence of the Secretary-General, Mr. Khaled Abidine Sidi, representatives from the technology incubator for start-ups, "RimTech Incubator," and the H4CK3RS team, who qualified for the final stage of the regional hackathon organized by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), a semi-regional cybersecurity competition.
The partnership with the RimTech incubator aims to create an encouraging environment for innovation by facilitating the establishment of start-ups and tech companies. The ministry supports these initiatives, which will open new horizons to provide job opportunities for talented Mauritanian youth, positioning Mauritania at the forefront of technological innovation in Africa.
The ministry’s support for the H4CK3RS team reflects its commitment to developing a generation of local experts in cybersecurity, a vital sector for protecting the country’s digital infrastructure. These young talents represent Mauritania's response to global technological challenges while ensuring the security of the national digital system.
